The Computer Science and Engineering Building is the home of the CSE department at UCSD. The building was completed in 2004 and was built with power efficiency as one of its design goals. The building is heated and cooled using a campus-wide chilled water loop. It comprises graduate student labs, faculty and staff offices, and a moderately-sized data center. The Microelectronic Embedded Systems Laboratory group is among the various research groups housed CSE building.
